Why Beverly Musicians Trust Us
Beverly represents one of Chicago’s most distinctive and fiercely loyal neighborhoods — a south side community known for its tree-lined streets, architecturally stunning homes, and a population that has chosen to stay, invest, and build something lasting. The Beverly Arts Center has cultivated generations of musicians, performers, and creative thinkers who understand that artistry requires both dedication and the right environment to flourish. Musicians from Beverly bring that same commitment to their recording projects — they don’t treat their music as a passing interest, they treat it as a serious creative pursuit that deserves to be captured with professional precision. Whether you’re a singer-songwriter ready to record the acoustic guitar and vocal arrangements you’ve been developing for years, a rock or folk artist tracking your debut album, or a voice actor building your professional catalog, you’ll find a studio environment that respects Beverly’s standards for craftsmanship and authenticity. Artists from this community tend to be deeply rooted in their musical identity — many have been playing their instruments for decades, performing locally, and refining their sound through consistent dedication. They know what they want, they arrive prepared, and they choose Untold Stories because we deliver the focused, collaborative experience their projects deserve. As Chicago’s #1 rated recording studio on Google, we’ve earned that recognition by consistently meeting the expectations of artists who take their music seriously — and Beverly musicians are exactly that kind of artist.
Getting Here from Beverly
From Beverly, the drive to our Pilsen studio at 1007 West 19th Street takes approximately 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. The most direct route: take Western Avenue north through the south side — Western runs straight through both Beverly and Pilsen, making it one of the simplest drives in the city with no highway required. Head north on Western Avenue and turn right on 19th Street, then one block east to the studio. Alternatively, take I-94/Dan Ryan Expressway north and exit at Cermak Road (22nd Street), heading west into Pilsen from there. Beverly to Pilsen is a straight south-to-north shot — no downtown navigation, no confusing interchanges, just a clean drive up one of Chicago’s main corridors. Street parking in Pilsen is completely free and abundant throughout the neighborhood, typically within half a block of the studio. No meters, no permits, no circling the block. If you prefer public transit, the Metra Rock Island District line runs from 91st Street or 95th Street stations to LaSalle Street Station downtown, where you can catch a short rideshare southwest to Pilsen in about 10 minutes. The commute from Beverly is one of the most practical of any Chicago neighborhood — close enough for multiple sessions without a major time commitment, and the drive north through the south side gives you time to shift mentally from daily life into creative focus before you walk through the door.
What Makes Beverly Artists Unique
Musicians from Beverly tend to approach recording with a combination of deep roots and serious intent. This is a neighborhood where people build careers, raise families, and invest in the community long-term — and that same value system carries into the way Beverly artists approach their creative work. These aren’t artists chasing trends or recording impulsively; they’re musicians who have spent years developing their craft, often through the Beverly Arts Center, local performance venues, and years of dedicated practice. Beverly has a strong tradition of folk, rock, and singer-songwriter music that prizes authenticity over production gloss — artists who want their recordings to sound like themselves, not like a processed version of someone else. They arrive at sessions prepared, with arrangements thought through and goals clearly defined, and they value an engineer who listens carefully and serves the music rather than imposing a sound. We see singer-songwriters tracking intimate acoustic and vocal performances, rock artists recording full band arrangements, and voice actors pursuing professional narration work from Beverly. Many are artists in their 40s, 50s, and beyond who’ve been playing their instruments for decades and are finally making the recordings they’ve always envisioned. What defines Beverly artists is the combination of patience, preparation, and an uncompromising commitment to quality that mirrors the neighborhood itself. When you come to Untold Stories from Beverly, you’re working with an engineer who shares those values — someone who understands that your music represents years of dedication and deserves to be captured with the technical precision and artistic care it has earned.
